Selection Process
Eligible and willing candidates will apply in the prescribed format with supporting documents to their local Police Station.
Candidates will be examined for suitability based on the following criteria for a maximum of 100 marks:
Orientation to assist the police.
Ability to maintain vigil in order to prevent crime or law & order problems.
Ability to observe suspicious activity and/or suspicious movement.
Ability to read and write in the local language.

How to Apply
Obtain the prescribed application form.
Fill out the application form completely.
Attach a recent passport-size photograph.
Submit the following supporting documents as proof of eligibility:
Aadhar card/birth certificate/school leaving certificate (as proof of age).
Medical fitness certificate issued by a Government Medical officer.
Attested copy of School leaving certificate or attested copy of mark sheet of the school/college (as proof of educational qualification).
Certified copy of the Ordinary Residents Register certificates/equivalent certificate issued by competent Government authority (for permanent residency).
SC/ST certificate issued by authorized government authority (to claim age relaxation, if applicable).
Submit the application form along with all supporting documents to the Officer-in-charge of the police station under whom the applicant is an ordinary local resident.
Important Notes
Residency: Applicant must be a permanent resident of the district.
Physical & Mental Fitness: Should be physically in good health & mentally fit.
Criminal Record: Should not have any criminal record or adverse report regarding antecedents.
Tenure: The appointment is for a tenure of 03 years, which may be renewed upon satisfactory performance. No renewal will be granted after the age of sixty years.
Gender Restriction: There is no gender restriction on applications.
Nature of Employment: Enlistment is on an honorarium basis. Enlisted individuals cannot claim any other benefits such as allowance or pensions paid to regular government employees.
Training: On initial appointment, Special Executives must undergo prescribed orientation training. Failure to complete it successfully will lead to dismissal.
Final Decision: The decision on final enlistment rests with Tripura Police, and no representation will be entertained in case of non-selection.
Discipline & Termination: Special Executives must exhibit the highest degree of discipline and devotion to duty. They are liable to be demobilized or terminated temporarily or permanently by the District SP if they fail to adhere to the conditions of The Tripura Police Act, 2007 (as amended in 2022).
